Prime is an ideal venue for weddings, conferences, private dining or celebrations. We regularly host gala dinners, award ceremonies, meetings and special occasion dinners.

Located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, Prime's stylish, modern decor and stunning lake views create a special ambience.

The venue features lighting, sound system, data projector and an elevated stage that is ideal for speeches and presentations.

There's a central open fire and a balcony that overlooks Rees Street.

Prime is an upstairs venue, above Queenstown Bay; there are stairs on the lake-side entrance and a lift from Rees Street.

Prime Waterfront Restaurant and Bar can accommodate 250 guests for a cocktail-style reception or 180 for a seated dinner.

For conferencing, Prime can accommodate 150 guests seated theatre-style or 100 classroom style. We have day-delegate packages available on request.

Prime is also ideal for smaller groups as we have a private, curtained area to seat up to 40 guests.

A minnimum food and beverage spend may apply for exclusive use of Prime or its private area.

Prime is licenced until 1.30am.

Apologies for not writing this sooner I have been back a couple of days and really wanted to provide some feedback.

Firstly a huge THANKYOU to you and your team at Prime. Both myself and the guests could not fault the food, drink and service.

Everything was perfect and better than I could have imagined. The service from the staff there was impeccable and a big thank you to Charlie who had to put up with us rowdy lot.

I honestly could not fault anything about our night, the venue, food or service it really was perfect and I am quite control freak but I was so incredibly relaxed the entire night.

So please pass on to the whole team that they did the most wonderful job and I had the best 30th I could ever have wished for.

Thank you so much for all your efforts with the CINZ Conference 2012.  The cocktail function at Prime was the perfect start to a great few days in Queenstown.

I was absolutely thrilled with the venue and service and I would like you to pass on my thanks to Mark, Amy and your team for their wonderful support.   The food and beverage were plentiful and I think many people were in great spirit.  Please also pass on my warmest thanks to Caroline for her support and contribution.  It was great to have her join us too, she is gorgeous and I loved meeting and spending time with her.  The Race Day theme was perfect and I hope you were all as thrilled as we were.
